_December 2011 we learned that Avery of candlefind.com had a chance to review some of our palm wax candles...  "their candles are all made from palm wax and with cool scent named after "destination" locations from all over the world. Cool concept right?... "  Avery thought so - but did she like the candles? - Read Avery's review...

The Truth About Palm Wax Revealed

                    Picture
Customers are always asking, where do we get our palm wax?  With rumors circulating that in South East Asia rain forests are being destroyed, endangering orangutan habitats,  many are boycotting palm wax candles.  Our palm wax does come from this area, however the real truth about palm wax is explained in the following article, http://www.selfgrowth.com/articles/Palm_Oil_Deforestation_Truth_or_Fiction.html .  Read for yourself how the rumors began, what Indonesia is doing to protect endangered species and the environment, as well as how palm wax is a true sustainable product.  It will make you think twice about what kind of wax candles you are burning and if they are good for the environment too!

                    February News

                    Picture
                      -  New scents? The newest is Charleston Carnation Blossom which happens to be our fragrance of the month!  Our Hawaiian and Old West collection will be unveiled this month too on this website and via our facebook page.
                    -  Tea Lights are coming!  Tea light candles are still being made and all that is left to do is take photos and uploading them to our website.  These will be available this month for sale.
                    - Check out our blog!  We have some great articles talking about whether or not Valentine's Day is just another Hallmark Day to behind the scenes stuff going on in our workshop.
                    -  Making Headway on our Room Sprays.  For repeat visitors to this website, you may our room spray section empty.  That is about to change.  We finally got our new spray bottles - 8 ounces in size and the fragrances will match our candle fragrances!  This means for those who can't burn candles, but want any room of their home to smell refreshing, you now have the ability to do so with our non-airesol, misting room sprays.  We still working on a label design, but towards the end of February, look for them here on our website as well as future art fairs and shops that carry our products!
                    -  News for new wholesale clients!  So you like the products we offer, but have a limited display space or need display furniture for our products?  Good news!  Over the past 2 weeks we've been working with a really cool, family owned, handmade furniture designer out of PA and just this past weekend we had a tour of their workshop located on an  1850's farmstead.  They make all of their furniture out of recycled barn wood and turn them into fabulous shelving unites, hutches and more.  We will be offering two different sized hutch style pieces that are painted in cream with an underlying coating of lime which is then treated in a wax coating to protect the paint and the furniture from normal wear and tear.  It is in the style of traditional primitive furniture with a coastal/cottage style modern appeal.  Photos and pricing will be posted here soon on our wholesale page.
